Title: Why should God Remember You?
Text: 2Kings 20:1-6.
According to our text, God remembered and answered the prayer of Hezekiah because he walked before Him faithfully.
Like Hezekiah, can you stand before God and say you have been faithful thus asking Him to remember you?
Your work with God is very important. Faith and work must always go together.
Faithfulness means ‘keeping your promises. It means doing what you are supposed to do’.
Husband and wife ought to live with each other with love.
In John 14:25, Jesus said “If you love me, you will keep my commandments”
What could not be done under the law, grace has made available unto us in the new testament. So, it is easier to obey God.
If a man loves God , he’ll not beat his wife. He‘ll also not compromise God’s law over the desire of his wife.
God demands faithfulness to the commandments of Christ.
In the new dispensation (testament), we are under grace and not the law. We are free from many things.
Prov.25: 26 “A righteous man who falters before the wicked, is like a murky spring and a polluted well”
If you have to blend to the negative pressure of friends and society against God’s will, you aren’t doing well.
Responsibility could re-phrased as ‘response ability’. You have a duty to choose your response to whatever happens to you. You must choose right, led by God.
Gen. 26:26; the environment was unsupportive but Isaac sowed and got good result because he was led by God. Who is leading you?
When God evaluates your faithfulness, will you be standing?
Evaluate yourself. Are you a Christian? . Let your yes be yes and your no be no.
God is looking for dependable people. 1Sam.2:35
Truth is sincerity in action, character and utterance. For our actions, consequences naturally follow. You must do what is required to get your result. It is the truth that you know that will set you free. John 8:32.
Only God can direct our ways. We need to depend on Him all the time. Ps.86:11
You need to know the will of God for your life , so that you’ll not be confused. Without the Holy Spirit, you cannot live a godly life. Dan.11:32
A son is no better than a servant as long as he’s a child. You need to grow up and become dependable. Gal.4:1
Allow God’s Spirit to lead you and you can’t go wrong. Eph.4:25, Ps.18:22, Ps.15:1-2 , James 1:22
#Prayers: God ,look at us and change areas of our lives, that do not align with you will in Jesus’ name.
#Change: if you are not sure your life is in tune with God’s will for you, You need to accept Him into your life today and be changed for good, forever. Welcome him as the Lord and savior of your life and you’ll never be the same again, in Jesus’ name.
