Three reasons to celebrate Easter
Ministering: Dr. I.S. James
Topic: Three reasons to celebrate Easter
Text: Matthew 28:1-10
To learn from Matthew 28:2
There was a great earthquake and the angel of the Lord descended from heaven… – Ministering angels will be sent to the child of God as you declare the word of God. Hebrews 1:14
And came and rolled back the stone from the door… – The stones were rolled back and so shall those things that are standing against you as the saint of God.
And sat upon it – And he sat on every of those issues and problems setting the people free.
To confess (Hebrew – Homologos) means to declare, to say. The child of God must confess for it to be established.
Hebrew 3:1
It is important to know but it is also instructive to declare what you know. It is one thing to know what God wants us to know or do and it is another thing to live it.
There is the power of life and death in the tongue. – Hebrew 4:12
1. Believe again. (He said He’s coming again) – Matthew 28:6. Matthew 12:40. What God has said, we must believe “just as He said.” Believe God’s promises. Revelation 1:8. 1st John 3:3.
2. It’s time to tell your story. Matthew 28:7-10. Every spiritual privilege, unique spiritual experience, revelation we get from heaven comes with a responsibility.
The angels that appeared the women could have as well appeared to the others first but He gave the responsibility to the ones that encountered the angels. That is what God does.
He gives us the responsibility of telling the story of His goodness. Every time God unveils Himself to you, we owe the debt of sharing it. Matthew 28:19. Liberty is a burden of being responsible with the choices that we make every time. Parents must begin to lead their children in this stead.
