The Dominion Mandate
Ministering: Dr. I.S James
Topic: The Dominion Mandate
Text: Gen 1:27-28
Listing God’s directives to man in the text, He wants man to:
- Be fruitful
- Multiply
- Fill the earth
- Subdue it
- Have Dominion
These directives from God aren’t optional, they’re His commands to man. Man has no choice but to be & do these things.
Man is God’s crowning creation. He didn’t give these commands to any other creation. You have to live and function in these blessings
These blessings of God mean that whatever you lay your hands on to do, regardless of your perceived “limitations” will prosper
To get this dominion, there’s a principle in 1 Cor. 15:46 that we should follow. “1st the natural, then the spiritual”
Luke 16:11 & Matt 18:18 – Exercising spiritual dominion is dependent on you mastering the physical realm of your life
Simply put to exercise this dominion mandate, be a Christian. As a man, have proper control over your family.
Gain control over your emotions & feelings, don’t let them control you.
If you want to exercise the Dominion Mandate, deal with your flesh!
It’s when you have control over your emotions, appetites, feelings that you truly obtain the right to exercise Dominion Mandate
Matt 25: 25 – Faithfulness in what God’s committed to you is a requirement for dominion. If you aren’t faithful, your fruitfulness is limited
To exercise dominion, you need money (Eccl. 10:19). There are certain things in life you can’t achieve without money
If Jesus needed money while on earth, we’ll need it too. But we need to learn to control money & not allow it control our lives
The exercise of your dominion mandate is for God’s glory. If God commits authority, resources & influence to you, how will you use them?
Will these blessings cause you to have an image/outlook that’s different from what God made you to be?
These are the things we’re meant to resolve before God commits these manifold blessings into our hands
