Loving God lavishly with the whole of your life comes at a cost.
Lazarus’ family knew of the love of Jesus for them. We are products and objects of God’s unconditional love
Jesus not immediately responding to the call that Lazarus was sick was His way of telling us “if you love Me, you can bear with Me”
As long as you live in God’s permissible timeline – His will – you will walk aright and avoid the pitfalls of life
Lazarus’ sisters lamented their brother’s death to Jesus and regretted His “lateness”, but they didn’t express any anger towards Jesus
Whenever you’re in distress, never allow yourself get angry with God. He always has your best interests at heart
In v.37-38 we see Jesus groaning in Himself in response to the pains & tears of the people. It shows that He understands and feels our pains
The Christ of Christianity is touched by our infirmities. As His follower, pray that you have a heart as tender as His
As followers of Christ, it’s time to leave the realm of frivolities!
We should stop trying to display our scriptural knowledge like Pharisees & let this knowledge change & shape our character
Jewish tradition was that they were only expected to show love to fellow Jews and not those outside their tribal boundaries. As Christians, we’re meant to break such boundaries and show love to all regardless of any social, religious, physical stratification,
