Ministering: Pastor Feyi Ojugo

Topic: Raising Godly Children

Text: Eccl. 3:1, Gen. 18: 18 – 19

References: Gen. 14:14, Exodus 2:1-4, Malachi 2:15

Eccl. 3:1 – There’s a time for everything under the sun. For sometime, your children will be under your care & control

While your children are under your care, you are responsible not only for their physical upkeep, but their spiritual development as well

As the father, you’re the visionary in the home; you ought to be the one who lays down values in the home & sets the course for your family.

We need to teach our children that privilege involves responsibility & there are consequences for every action they take.

As parents, you need to take responsibility for what shapes your children’s minds. Will it be it God’s Word or the world?

If Jesus were to be born into the world today, would God trust you enough to put Him in your home? Would He be able to grow into His place in life under your care?

Ex. 2:1-4 – Moses’ parents sacrificed a lot to save him & prepare for his growth in those perilous times. What are you sacrificing for your children?

You ought to work towards their development into Godly children.

Your responsibility as a parent when you notice undesirable traits in your children is to teach them their errors & then correct them.

As parents, your responsibility is (like Jairus – Mark 5:22-24) to bring your children to the attention of the Saviour.
