Title: Necessary Attitudinal Positions to Receive Honour (Power, Wealth and Influence)

Text: Dan.1:1-8

Building on the word that God gave us for this year, 2016, we must realize the place of a good relationship with Him and His Word to receive the fulfillment of this Word.

Often Christians receive the Word for each year, paste or stick it everywhere possible but don’t take enough time to digest the ‘meat’ of the word.

According to Is.37:31, we must take root downwards to bear fruit upwards. What does this really mean?

It means there must be a desire and determination to know God for ourselves, having a very personal and intimate relationship with Him. Dan.11:32b

There is a price to pay to get the full realization of the word: “2016, My Year of Honour” Col.2:6-10

This year, we must continually work on/with the word we have received in order to make success out of it

Attitudinal Positions to receive Honour (Power, Wealth and Influence):

1.       Prayer: a consistent lifestyle of prayer is a necessity this year. Daniel achieved all he did largely due to having a consistent prayer life. Eph.6:18, 1Thes.5:18, Matt.7:7

#Prayer: As you steadily pray this year, God will always answer you in Jesus’ name.

Jer.32: 27. There is nothing hard for God to do.

2.       Faith: We must really believe God this year. Also, be ready to obey whatever he asks you to do. Courage will be very essential this year. Heb.11:6, Matt.14:24-28.

3.        Diligence: Eccl.9:10, Jer.29; 1-11, Lk.1:37 To receive honour as God promised us this year, we must be willing to do our present jobs with all diligence. You may not know when the call for promotion will come.

#Prayer: As you do all required of you this year, the ever faithful God will take you into the place of honour in Jesus’ name, Amen.
