 Topic: How to Handle the Prophetic Word

 Text: Deut. 1:6 – 11

There are some blessings God gives us that we don’t merit. They’re products of His promise to our fathers, resulting from their faithfulness.

You need to understand the prophetic word in order to be able to handle it properly.

When God sends His prophetic word, it impregnates & saturates the atmosphere & then it creates possibilities.

When the word has saturated the atmosphere, we are meant to rise up & labour by faith to draw it into our lives.

The duty we have as recipients of this word is to believe the word & work in faith to bring it to pass in our lives:

1.     Our minds can’t conceive the greatness of God & the things He has in stock for us.

2.     What we get from God is dependent on how hungry we are for increase.

3.     Ways to Handle the Prophetic Word:

3.1     Believe it

a.     The Word was given has a promise to our forefathers & you’re entitled to it – Gen 15:5

b.     Over time, that promise from God morphed into an oath Gen 22:15-17

What is the proof of your belief in the prophetic word? It’s in your actions, attitude, speech

3.2     Pray it

It’s your responsibility to pray the prophetic word into existence 2 Kings 18:1-2, 42, Dan 9: 2-3

3.3     Proclaim it

When you believe what God’s word & its inherent power, you become His herald & you proclaim the word confidently knowing He’s backing you                 up

3.4     Activate it

How do you activate it? That’s simple, it’s by giving.

It was through Abraham’s giving (of his heir & his future) to God, that God’s promise became an oath

God’s prophetic word (rhema) doesn’t negate the written word (logos). It may explain it & expound on it, but it won’t negate it.
