Text: Hebrews 11:6
In laying the premise for this message, we need to understand the terms data, information and knowledge and how they differ from one another.
The terms data, information & knowledge differ from each other significantly.
Data is facts collected for analysis; Information is processed data & knowledge information that is applied in our day-to-day lives
In order to transform information into knowledge, you have to make a deliberate effort to put the information you’ve got into practice
Hebrews 11:6 Faith-based prayers is a necessary part of the life of a Christian. The enemy knows this and he’s attacking our faith.
Mark 11:24 Faith-based prayer is an effective tool in a Christian’s hand, but to counter that the enemy is putting a question mark on our prayers
Satan is trying to ensure we doubt God’s ability/interest in answering our prayers, so as to dissuade us from praying
Consider Abraham’s life; as wealthy as he was, he always made out time pray and even intercede for nations.
Consider Daniel’s life; even as a governor in Persia, he always made out time to pray and he respected the times of prayer
You need to be disciplined in order to pray regularly. It’s an essential ingredient of prayer
We are meant to pray without ceasing (I Thess. 5:17) – we should always be in the attitude of prayer. This way you’re in tune with God always
John 5:19. Jesus was in-tune with God and He knew what he ought to do at every point in time. That’s how we ought to be
You’re not meant to take up every nice-sounding prayer point. It might not be God’s plan for you at that time. Be in-tune with God
God’s plan and target for us is that we pray.
