The book of Daniel is one of the most prophetic and historic books in the Bible. It carries the key to what the LORD is doing on earth.
- King Nebuchadnezzar’s dilemma (Dan 2:29-30).
It was the king’s thoughts of the future & his legacy that God used as an opportunity to put the dream about future events in his heart.
Nebuchadnezzar’s dilemma was about the future and his legacy.
We see Solomon despairing about his legacy (Eccl. 2:18-21), but you need to realise that you can influence the direction & state of your legacy (your children).
When you stand before God you won’t be judged based on the things you have done alone, you’ll also be judged for things you failed to do. You have to fight for your legacy, fight for the lives of your children don’t let the world determine the direction of their lives. You are responsible for bringing them into the world & you’re also responsible for getting them back to the One who gave them to you.
- Why did God intervene? Why did He make the king forget the dream after having given it to the king?
- He wanted to unveil His end-time plans while still providing answers to Nebuchadnezzar’s worries.
- He intervened so that the Daniels (you and I) won’t perish with the rest of the world. (Dan. 2:18)
- It was time for Daniel’s promotion.
Declaration: When it is time for your promotion, the trained professionals won’t succeed and they will pray for your success & promotion.
- The importance of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the One who came to Daniel’s aid in his time of confusion and helped him in revealing & interpreting the dream.
John 14:16 – The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Helper, Counsellor, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener & Standby who is with us forever
He will never leave us, He is the One manifesting the plans of God and He’s always working in us to ensure that Christ’s death for us wasn’t in vain.
It’s the degree to which you allow the Holy Spirit take residence in you that He manifests Himself in & through your life.
It’s the Holy Spirit that takes what is ours from God’s mind and imprints it upon our own minds, so we know what God has planned/in store for us.
Natural abilities, skills & training alone are not enough for you to excel in life. You need something extra – you need the Holy Spirit.
#Prophecy: It doesn’t matter how chaotic your situation might be, it wasn’t as bad as the state of the earth at creation. The Spirit of God brought order to that situation & He will bring order into your life in Jesus’ name
